Our in-shop capacities range up to 20,000 lbs, 8 feet in diameter, and up to 35 feet long. Balancing is performed to ISO, MIL, and API Standards and all calibrations are traceable to NIST. Balance data and Certificates of Compliance are provided. We understand the level of tolerance required to manufacture all balance tooling necessary to provide accurate, repeatable, precision balancing.
As such, we machine all tooling in-house to control those tolerances and reduce processing time.
Balancing corrections can be made by drilling, milling or grinding, as well as by adding material to the work piece. We realize that balancing is usually the last step required before use, and cumulative delays in manufacturing and processing usually demand fast turnaround on your part. Therefore, our processing time is typically one to two days and even less for certain requirements. Look to us for all your shop balancing needs.
Laser Alignment complements our machinery balancing and vibration analysis services; and is the most accurate and quickest method of identifying misalignment problems. In spite of self-aligning bearings and flexible couplings, problems due to misalignment are nearly as common as those due to unbalance. Laser alignment will help extend the life of bearings, gears, seals, and other machinery components.
Laser alignment applications include:
-Diesel and gas engine generating sets,
-Couplings and bearings in gearboxes and generators,
-Pump couplings, seals and bearings, measurements of "soft-foot", or vertical movement of machine feet, when mounting bolts are loosened (this condition can cause great difficulty if not recognized and corrected), alignment of shafts that are separated by spool pieces up to 12 feet in length.
